The Path Towards Serenity

Wounds are eternal as they are sculptured in stone
Hearts fragile as a summer breeze
collect stories from the clock
Let's dance with pain, caress its maligned lips, but do not let it lead
the poet's pen
But
let it inspire its song

(Keep striving)

Affliction assembles a sound barrier shielding rainbows
keeping them from achieving
Light, colour and prosperity of day
Let it serenade your awareness
But don’t let it deafen you
For love is sound

(Keep striving)

Bigotry's bitter river lingers on
through forests of humanity, evaporates dreams
Let's keep it there to remember the damage it’s caused us
But if It fills the vase in your living room
Break it.

(Keep striving)

Hatred, humiliation, racism, wretchedness
Close-mindedness, maliciousness
neglect and agony
Are all stones in the streets
That encounter my feet

Yet I keep striving, yet I know
I can't kick these stones away
If I want to arrive, on this narrow road
I must understand, analyse and recognise
each part of each stone to abide
To strive with them beside
and lastly pass them with ease
On the path
Towards serenity.
