The past cannot be undone

Time is ticking on
as I'm lying here
still on my sickbed
without any of you

My life is nearly ended
and when I look back
lots of things passed by
some bad and some good

How I experienced childhood
the swing in the yard
father telling stories
mom baking super cakes

The day that you asked me
with a sensational engagement ring
how we had our children
and then parenting

I did not need much
but liked to work hard
and because of that
I did not see enough

How much you all needed me
at home in my arms
giving you a hug
or read aloud a book

I sure do regret
being  so much from home
the work floor I adored more
then you my flesh and blood

Your father has gone already
I am all alone
and it really hurts
not one of you is here

2023: In a world full of chaos, creativity is one of the helping things to keep yourself sane. ******************************** 2014: A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen than you have something very special. - Nelson Mandela - ******************************** I am from the land of tulips and mills. Writing is a need like eating and sleeping. I think we are all wondrous creatures who deserve to love ourselves and live in freedom. I like to participate in cases which can make a difference for myself, my surroundings and the earth. My wish: humanity in a non-dualistic society. more…
