The Old Witch's Brew ( Happy Halloween)

The Old Witch's Brew

From the beginning of knowing the way,
to brew a good and faithful batch this day,
All ingrediance must be pure and fresh.
Hair and bone, blood and flesh.

The big black pot sits in the middle of the room.
Hot coals glow, the pot starts to bubble as the foul oders loom.
The moon must be high in the sky this night,
for my spell to work just right.

Counting out and calling out each thing she will add one at a time,
she tosses them in the boiling pot and chants her evil rhyme.
'' A little bit of this and that,
pluck a hair from the tail of a cat.
Stir it up with my wooden spoon,
all will be ready very soon.''

To change a mortal this very night,
into a thing , of horrible sight,
Bloody bones with teeth and nails,
eyes and hair and a pointed tail.

In a huge plume of black smoke it appeared,
as it let out a scream most evil and feared.
Casting her spell to make him obey her command,
she sent him forth into all the land.

And he remains to this very day,
a haunt to scare all bodies away,
for he dwells in a mountain cave,
and it's your very flesh that he does crave.
