The Next Odyssey

once again i'm feeling down
i think i'll drown
in this self-created filthy swamp
wont pretend like i'm okay
i place the blame
on myself..hold it in..until i explode
dont give a f*ck
if i lose control
get your hands off me..let me go
how long have you known me
the one and only
suicidal recluse

its probably
melancholy
taking over me
wake me up
before i embark
on the next odyssey
honestly whats
the possibility
of a happy ending

i took a chance
to start anew
wonder was it just
another excuse
i remember the apology
suddenly felt the animosity
i looked at you
and you looked away
i see the shame
thats in your eyes
and i know that you
lied to me all along

its probably
melancholy
taking a hold of me
wake me up
before i embark
on the next odyssey
its probably
helen calling me
waiting to start all over again

i'm so sick of all
the fighting
i remembered you
werent always like this
despite all the drama
and all the trauma
this has caused
no problems dissolved
no problems been solved
why cant you
just admit
you were wrong

its probably
melancholy
taking over me
wake me up
before i embark
on the next odyssey
honestly i'd
feel much better
alone
