The mystery of Sand

Ever truly looked at the sand
No spec the same in the palm of your hand
Thoughts sway to travels of this sand that appears in water crystal clear
Today, now at this present time
How far have you traveled
Sand?
This is the mystery
Traveled from distant shores, once part of life from sea or land
From Africa to Panama, Jamaica, Trinidad
Maybe a few pieces of you will care to stay, here on my land
An island in the blue Caribbean sea….
