The Messenger

Let him dream a little longer
 Let his gift resonate within
Let no man but stand in awe
 Of God's work to begin

 This transcendent child
 A messenger filled with humility
An echo of God's voice
If we listen carefully

 But instead we ignore
What was a perfect vision - an ideal
 Within our petty world
 Becomes less- no longer real

 A gift is given boundless
 Thousands of times a day
Each with a message of hope
That we slight to our dismay
