The Love of My Life

I write poems and short stories
About finding true love
And how happy I will be when I find the one

Tall, dark, and handsome
He will sweep me off my feet
And be completely and totally in love with me

He will love me for me
And be enamored of the beauty that's inside
And do everything He can to be a part of my life

He will fix the broken pieces
And tear down the thick high walls
Mend my broken heart and catch me when I fall

He will be the epitome of strength
But kind and gentle too
You know the kind of love that makes everything brand new

As I sit here patiently waiting
For that when I
Meet the one and only truest love of my life

A light bulb went off
A powerful epiphany
That this true love I want has already happened to me

You see God loves me that way and so does His Son
In the truest and most important sense of the word
And that is the best most powerful kind of love

He loves me unconditionally
Strong and pure and right
And that is why He is the one and only truest love of my life
