The Lake

As we were standing on the Dock
The Lake is exploding today
Out of it's banks the water runs
Trees are down in the water
And lined up along the waterway.

The water rushes down
To the River below
The fish have trouble to swim
And the turtles must all be aground.

Even the Ducks are nowhere
To be found
The Geese are silent as the
High water rushes down stream.

The Lake looks so eerie
In this cloudy sky light tonight
Rain will you ever go away
We're tired of seeing you
Day after day.
