The House Fire...

Theres no photographs from the past,
a fire took the things that werent meant to last.

Nine years ago life changed in such a way,
I couldnt believe the next day.

I saw the end of everything at hand,
a new walk was to come over this land.

My kids were sent away somewhere,
this was when I began to care.

It still took me a few more years,
but now I understand all of the fallen tears.

Photos in my mind,
the only ones left behind...
