The Homo Sapien Vastness

None understand
 The Ache of Centuries
 They're numerous as the sand
 Of the seas immensity

 The luster of love
 Loses the color when broken
 The affront of-
 All things once spoken

 The sheen of abundance
 Turns grotesquely grey
 This hard redundance
 Makes friends shy away

 The limp of an arm
 The blue of a hip
 A dead child can't charm
A new babe out the hip

 A sad woman's soul
 The poison in tears
 The heave, ebb, then roll
 Increasing with years

 Youths' regal state
 First waste the face
 In old age you hate
 The fading of grace

 Men who were steel
 Genuflect towards the land
 Making them feel
 Like a nameless brand

 A forest once sown
 Grows to the point
 Until time's hewn
 What water can't anoint

 War is for kings
 But death has the keys
 The great cygnet ring
 Brings countries to their knees

 Inside of pain
 We all will reside
 For one it's the same
 And no one can hide.
