The Highest High

Oh, how high is the highest high?
Yonder are the moon beams rising in the nigh,
Let alone the sun and heat,
The moon shall never know defeat,
And travel ever higher.

So, how high is the highest high?
Never will the sunlight,
Ever see the sight,
For the moon shall rise and set,
And never have they ever met,
Yet for the love of one another ever shall they set.

Go so high, as the highest high,
As the stars and planets turn,
Always lighting up the sky,
Guiding souls that cry and yearn,
Never learning to discern,
And long to live and never die.
