The Good Girl

I really was the good girl
The one who wore a halo
Always did the right thing
Even kept my calm in the midst of a tornado

Always did my work
Even handed it in on time
Never missed a deadline
Everything always seemed just fine

As time passed
I realised
It's time to break out of this shell
Think I broke out to spontaneously
As I don't even recognize myself

As I look at myself
My face looks a blur.
Barely know who I am
It's caused quite a stir

As time passed
I realised
It's time to break out of this shell
Think I broke out to spontaneously
As I don't even recognize myself
