The Gambit

I took the heart from your sleeve
And cast it into bronze
To match my mindless steel
I gave into the con
The shadless sky envelopes
The Sun stands tall and he
Gives refuge from the darkenss
Yet not our emnity
How long the Bliss betrayed us
Turned us from you path
Letting go of iron thrones
Forged by pain and wrath

You were wrought for beauty
The morning dew knew you
Could prove all the prophets say
Is equal to the Truth

The moment I ensared you
In my devilry
I gave myself to regretfullness
That haunts my history
Though the rapture took you
With a fever and a flame
It is I who suffer the recompense
For playing false the game.
