The Fading World

I know not my grandfathers path
His struggles and his way of faith
His weaknesses and his fields of strength
His short comings and his unlimited mental length

Can't see the ancient traditional light
For its shaded by the dark and thick western shadow
I'm so blind I can't even put up a fight
Their strategy was that I don't regain sight

Yes, I know not the ways of my people
For I now think their ways are weak and too "simple"
I fear the change that time will unfold
As elders pass and we become the adults
I fear I no longer hear a native word
I only feel the tears from the cry of a Fading World
