The End is a Beginning

The End is a Beginning

Yesterday the story ended,
 so the book was closed,
sad though I may be at the end
 of this journey, this adventure,
I look forward to the next,
 opening the cover, beginning,
 that first chapter, immersion,
a new exploration, new world to see,
I cried tears, I promised not to weep,
the day that you left me, I broke,
pain engulfed, weeks passed, a month,
but I picked up my head, thought to myself,
one phase has ended another will begin,
though the loss of you pained me deep,
I know that what was an ending is also,
a brand new beginning, a chance to start over.
Pain may come at a chapters end, or a books,
but a ending is truly just a new beginning,
venture forth, grab hold of a new dream,
expand your horizons, find your hope,
this one adventure has come to a close,
but another, a brighter one has opened up,
The end may be insight, but once you step
out of that tunnel, you'll begin in another one.
Don't let the end weigh you down,
 hamper your emotions, destroy you,
for what has ended, did so for a reason,
to open the doors to a new stage in your life,
 grab hold, strengthen yourself, knowing
the journey isn't over but that it has just begun,
life has opened up a new world for you to cross,
treasure the end, it leads to a beginning.
