The Circle Of Life

The circle of life is when we're born,
When from our mother's womb we're torn:
Into a world of cold and hot,
Into a life of what is, is not.

The circle of life is when we learn,
The faces of love so clear to discern:
The faces of family so close, so near,
That brings security with nothing to fear.

The circle of life is when we grow,
We reach outside, so eager to know
All about the world. and everything there,
All about the life for which we care.

The circle of life is when we fall,
Reaching too far, for one so small:
And yet we reach. till we can no more,
We reach out for life, till our arms are sore.

The circle of life is when we love,
The others in life, their hearts like a glove,
To cover our own, to shield it in there,
To keep it safe, so we can continue to care.

The circle of life is when there is one,
One to contuinue what is left undone:
The one who we give all the world, and more;
The one who you were really living for.

The circle of life is when we die,
Closing our heart and closing our eye:
Being as one with all that have passed,
Being as one with ones-self at last.

The circle of life comes but once for all:
We are born, we learn, we grow, we fall;
We love, and we gve of ourselves to the one,
Who brings round the circle - the circle undone.

Donald Loudon

I started to write because of the great feeling of release, and being able to do something of my own that I enjoyed. Since then, writing has become a way of life for me, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I write about things I feel strongly and or know a lot about. more…
