The Call of The Sea
It is uncanny that I hear the call of the sea,
Although, I am an island boy, the sea and I have never agreed.
On more occasions than one, it has tried to do away with me.
Yet, curiously, it now beckons; I suspect to delude me.
Still, I hear its calling
But, I hold on to doubt, as I believe it truly, cannot be.
However, undeniably, I burp the unpleasant taste of the sea.
Strangely, the gulls of the sea too, have begun calling me,
and fine, white, sand falls from my fingers, magically.
A breeze stays with me incessantly, even on days the sun peaks 90.
I sway non-stop, giving-in to the motion as if in a sloop on a crazy sea.
The continuous sound of a crashing flow on the seashore is a tenant in my ear— maddening me.
I am constantly, looking into a wide, black, watery abyss even when land is near, and it is what bounds me
Oddly, a peace, and an incorrigible desire swathes me.
I am ineffably at home with the fantasies that visit me.
Compelling, desires control me, and I plunge eerily, into an invisible expanse that overwhelms me.
As I try to stay afloat, the clutches of panic grabs me.
I disappear rapidly, taking in deep swallows of an embracing watery pleasantness.
I am no longer afraid, I now give my love completely, as I elope from reality, and cuddle Fantasy.
Truly, no one in life has ever loved me as passionately, sincerely, or deeply.
Finally, even if it is now… in ambiguously, incomprehensible, and surreal reality,
I am loved…permanently.
