That Demon Called Depression

It feels as though a tremendous load has been lifted off my head.
My chains have been cut, my shackles broken,
and that demon called depression is dead.
He's very trickly and evil to, he'll tell you many lies
To steal and cheat, to kill and beat, and your savior to deny.
He's always there to cause you pain, and to drill your mind with doubt.
To question your ability on what your life's about.
He'll tell you that you're stupid, and that you're not worth a dime.
He'll do his best to make you sin he has a lot of time.
To change your mind and to make you think, the way he wants you to.
He'll do his best to cause distress and make a fool of you.
But don't give up just say out loud, my father I am weak.
The demon depression has claimed my soul, and it's your help I seek.
And when you do a light will shine upon your weary head.
For now your life it has been blessed, and that demon
called depression is dead.
