Thanks for your good life.

At the first cry for help
We turn our back, afraid to see the pain in those eyes
Quickly walking for distance from life's cruel touch
What must God think of the way we reacted to His Call?
Bellies swell with hunger
Go the other way; sights like this are too painful
Wouldn't want to spoil our dinner, reservations were hard to get
And it's raining, tears from God for the trials his Son endured
Sign says, “Will work for food.”
Child don't look we'll be late for church
Can't be late to hear God's word, “Do unto others.”
Remember to offer up “Thanks for your good life.”
And remember He laid down his Life for you.
