Tell A Grim Tale

I dress myself
With the nakedness of truth
As it lies upon a shelf
How can you live with yourself?

You broke my heart once
Left neglected and ruined
I haven't looked back since
I can tell an apple's poisoned
Instead
I'll tell a grim tale
Until it's bitter and stale

Cover a mirror
To hide secrets from mother
Glass heart shattered asunder
Ever look up and wonder?

You broke my heart once
Left neglected and ruined
I haven't looked back since
I know when an apple's poisoned
Instead
 I'll tell a grim tale
Stud ruby shoes with a nail

Blessed holiday
Well wishing to all my friends
The New Year is on the way
Too bad this cheer won't stay

You broke my heart once
Left neglected and ruined
I haven't looked back since
I know when an apple's poisoned
Instead
I'll tell a grim story
Run it down 'til you're sorry
