Tears of Joy

Tears steady flowing
No sign of relief
For how could I know
That my love was a thief?

The eyes of an angel
The heart of a saint
Just truth in this picture
He started to paint

It came with no warning
No story to tell
I must have been blinded
And that's when I fell

His arms gently waiting
With patients in line
His lips softly whispered
You always were mine

My best friend forever
So how could this be
My feelings for you
And your feelings for me

I can't give my heart
I might lose my best friend
And things could get ugly
Too damaged to mend

He smiled as he hugged me
And said you're too late
I just stole your heart
Now the rest's up to fate
