Teach me

Can you teach me how to start over again?
To smile because I’m happy
To be happy because things don’t have to be complicated
To laugh like I haven’t laughed in a very long time
To cry not of sadness nor anger but of pure joy
To trust not only in others but also in myself
To walk my own path brave and strong
To listen to only things that inspire and help me grow
To hold that which is precious to me and dispose that which is not
To lead and not be led so I won’t get lost again
To give but never borrow for not all are as forgiving as I
To speak and be heard without fear of what is said
To take only what is given and not a bit more
And to give you what I never gave you before

These are but written photos of my life, my mind, and those around me captured as best as I could in words. I'm not a trained writer so my style is of no particular way. I have long detailed poems and short to the point ones. My hope is that you can see what I have seen feel what i felt with out braking your head trying to figure out what I meant. Enjoy! more…
