Take Away and Give Back

My sudden dream becomes a desirer,
When walking miles of love through fire.
The closet of my life begins to close,
Time with you was watching the blooming rose.
Your beauty was found when I was lost,
A day to remember at any cost.
If my love were your thristing gift,
I taste the wind and my feet run swift.
To begin to think we soar in the open air,
Touching our heaven that posses our care.
With you, my life now finally begins,
My demons lose and love always wins.
Shadows of my heart no longer feel dark,
Cause everywhere I looked I felt your spark.
Just when I think I took my last breath,
You kissed me when I had nothing left.
What more can words say to how I feel,
You keep me awake when I taste the steel.
Stand in the shadow and become my guide,
Show me the light that holds what I hide.

Evan Begay

I'm a non traditional poet, in the sense I always admired lyrical poets such as; Bob Marley, Eddie Vedder, Pink Floyd song writers, Marvin Gaye, Tupac Shakur, Ozzy Osbourne, etc.. I respect the standards of what poetry is but my expression breaks those boundaries. I got a heart full of wonders to express, just give me a chance. more…
