Tailored Relationship

Last week I pulled
Two long stray hairs
from your custom made coat.
Blonde, mine are jet black.
Every day since then
You have tried to mend
The holes you have made
in the tailored folds,
of our relationship.
You made me a suit
using soiled, black fabric.
You clothed her, in new blue silk.
You have loosened the threads
That were stitched,
securely around my heart.
You are reckless with your scissors,
I can't watch you clipping.
I feel you cut one more thread.
The earth around me is fraying.
Like a mad tailor
You rip all the stitches away,
Letting them fall to the wooden floor.
