Summer's Desire

A gentle spirit, heart content.
Surrender complete to a higher call.
A group of children, trail ride.
Years ago I felt this peace.
Late afternoon, shadows fall,
birds singing, nature alive!
I always have peace out here.
This is life, God so close.
Telling stories, children listen.
Eyes sparkle, cares slip away,
this is all that matters now.
Crossing streams, rolling hills,
switchbacks, steep climbs and ridge tops,
something for all to see.
For me it's the children,
discover God, His creation.
My heart I share, my hopes and dreams.
Changing lives, forever set free.
Gentle spirits, heart's content.
