Summer's Child
A frightened child no more.
She reaches out to touch his hand.
Gentle eyes, searching, wondering
will you hold me close again?
I miss those days of wedded bliss.
You filled me with such vibrantness.
Everyday new and fresh, exciting.
Our's a life unlike any other,
we could never be satisfied with days like that.
Maybe we were selfish but that's okay,
we had each other, in love, our hopes, our dreams.
You are gone away now, I miss you so.
The years went by to fast. I am now alone.
I wonder sometimes what to do.
You were my answer to everything.
Life moves on, yet it is so cruel.
Memories to sustain me are not enough.
I miss your love, my answer to everything.
