Summer Rain

The pleasant breeze
the hush wind
that touches my cheek
the air that floats my hair

With each leaf falling
with each sweep of wind
makes me remind
It's time for fall again
heavy clouds rolling by

This sudden rain on a summer evening
the stillness of everything
the serenity of this late evening

I smell the scent of mud
with each drop of rain on the tired earth
filling its thirst of the year

I miss you my love
I miss my hands around your neck
I miss my head on your chest
listening to the rhythm of your heart

I miss you time and again
on this night of summer rain.
