Summer In Grandma's Wardrobe

When tiny I used to hide in that big box
where the linen was so clean

 on doors small metal locks.

 Lavender and quinces and sunshine that floods in

 shimmering leaves cast their reflections,

 In the alcove reached deep within.

 Smell of cakes, vanilla's soft breeze

 makes me smile when I think of it

 childhood summers balming my skin, with ease...
