Subsidence to define

The tracks are cut clean in jungles of fear
I can't elude destiny, nature must adhere
Mystic binds of anarchy hold me to the path
The parallels of final quest congregate my wrath

My evidence of sanity is withered by debris
Trampled by the smothering flesh of brute serenity
Age is now a wilted garb I fight to strip away
Subsidence haunts my playground, it's shadows long to play

My health falls to the victor, mortality of man
My life was never plotted yet the title was so grand
Fate provides the solace that accompanies my grave
An empty square of soil my corpse will always crave

Set adrift on promise was the story of my life
Traded in for treachery and forced to harbor strife
My grasp on all reality has dwindled to the core
The last of rendered legacies never offers more
