Stuck

For you
I'd try to paint the sky
but your eyes
fall upon me with unconcern
so the thunder comes
in millions of drops
splattering
shrinking me
into the smallest ball
spineless
I try to slither away

yet I am stuck,
like soiled gum
on the sole
of your shoe
yes I am stuck,
like a maggot on
a sunny sidewalk
waiting to be exhumed

you deny the
clandestine love
we make again
and again
with piss colored
puddles
and laced cigarettes
red scented lamps
and daisy chains

So I am stuck
like a worm
in an apple
who devoured everything
but the seed

I am stuck
like the phlegm
lodged in your
blackened lungs
and I am sick
for I lust
then leave

but yet again tomorrow
I shall arrive
at your doorstep
mindlessly tugging
upon your sleeve....
