Storm

Her soft, swirling hair lulls streets with silk strands,
Jostling the leaves from their warm, cozy laze.
And holding her face with delicate hands,
Her eyes seal shut, spreading thick with blue-grays.
Random and deafening, she wails her pains,
Betraying a tale to sentries beneath
Who gaze upward, stunned at spidery veins
Framing the sky like a sword to a sheath.
Falling like diamonds scattering in time
In cool, damp spatters on glass windowpanes,
Tears of clear crystal ring outward in chime,
Spilling down walls into dark sewer drains.
Then, subsiding, she smiles, lifting her gaze.
Chaos and order shake hands and part ways.
