Stopping by the Window on a Snowy Night

Quiet night, delicate as the snowflake
Falling from these midnight clouds
As they make their way unto the ground
Like a person weaving through the crowds

Fingertips press with eagerness
Against the frosted windowpane
Eyes so transfixed, could watch for hours
As January enchants me again

Only the flickering street lamps expose
This night enwrapping the world in white
Not till it be the blushing morns when
I'll be able to rest in such delight
