Still And Alone

My dad is calm
and very mute.
His breath is scant
and bares no fruit.

My dad is still
and all alone.
His flesh is blue
and cold as stone.

My dad is dead
and in his grave.
His toil is done
and aptly brave.

My dad is gone
and on fate's list.
His touch is bound
and often missed.
