Still

Everything's still as the water drops,
Ripple and effect,
someone trying to tell you how you feel.
The beating goes away, as your heart stops.
Trying so hard to get that feeling back,
the dead black seeming so surreal. I stop and sigh,
and turn around, to the miles I've walked,
just staring at my past, wondering how,
I never had time to stop with you and just talk.
my mouth is dry, and the world seems so quiet,
so still, seems like its been so long since i've cried,
and now the ties that held us together have rotted and died.
black ink spills out on the road, the color of my blood,
you held me together for so long,
but I have hit the end of the road,
by the time we were done,
you were dying to get out.
