STARK BEAUTY

Fog hangs low it moistens the air,
Water it runs here and there,
Sparkling the droplets on bough and twig,
Here is beauty that is mighty big.

Catch your breath as the morning advances,
Speculate the day take your chances,
From my window I snapped this shot,
Marvel at nature and what it's got.

This silent corner I call mine,
Awaits a moment when the sun will shine,
Then those diamonds will glitter and speak,
Reflect prismic light to enhance the bleak.

Cast your eye from leaf to bough,
There's a dampness present now,
Within only minutes it'll be no more,

And you wonder just what you saw.
