Springtime

Wake up and walk with me up on the hills
It's springtime and warm, we'll see daffodils
It's a beautiful morning, so fresh and alive
we might even see the kingfisher dive.
There are ponies to feed and bees to see
I'll take a packed lunch for you and me
it'll be peaceful and calm, we can sit for a while
we'll watch rabbits and a buzzard perched on a style
we'll hear all the birds as they twitter and trill
oh please come and walk with me up on the hills.

Barbara Curtis

I have never written poetry before but I woke 3am on 19/9/2012 with two poems going through my head, the words wouldn't go away no matter how hard I tried, I had no choice but to get up and write them down, Hope was my first one and the second was Perfection.I have written a few more but the words have to come to me, I can't make it happen. I enjoy the experience and hope this continues. I do write for the fun of it and prefer poems that rhyme, I enjoy reading what other people have written too. more…
