Spring

doodlegirl

I breathe in the thick smell of burning leaves
This lets me know winter's over.
Birds sing in late evening.
Flowers bloom and "pop!"
"Tuti-Fruti" birds sing their strange spring song.
Later days roll by,
As Earth practically stops spinning.
The birds and squirrels finally wake up
To say hello,
And bask in the beautiful sun.
Looking upward,
Letting the sun warm my face,
I realize life isn't so bad.
