Spots

Out this window my view's the same,
Go outdoors if you are game,
Those heavy showers they show it all,
See the raindrops watch them fall.
Gravity .. it pulls them down,
Each fresh droplet can collectively drown,
Water it rushes to wash the street,
Dampens the ground it's soggy under feet.
Yet there's beauty you look and see,
Study the glass the vision is free,
Sparkling prisms leave each spot,
A reflective charm is what you've got.
Instantly they quiver shake in the breeze,
There's fascination in what one sees,
Now and then they run out of sight,
Gone the vision a momentary delight.
When the sun pokes through a cloud,
Buildings glisten to stand proud,
Take the time to look and stare,
How I wish that you were there.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
