Spiralled Technology

Inside the visions which flutter solemn
characteristics; wide-angled bright lit
elements of survival's wild rhythm,
I soak the mind's bolts with neon gases,
and electricity fires subtle sighs,
sparks of indifference blend with cold thought
as imagination sprinkles hot drops
of personality onto dark frowns;
beaten and twisted from smooth iron smiles,
ramshackle dreams of bitter contempt scream
while the mouth explodes with vampiric verse.

Moods snap and I slip across dimensions;
colourful avenues of adventure
where the spirit gathers up words that soothe,
an atmospheric splendour dances love
through hate's bedraggled features; whimpered looks,
instant moments collapse and stretch themselves
as I stare quickly into the gray eyes
of a delicious deranged persona,
with a flit of compassion's battered soul
I look away, strangle self imagery
with poetry's vicious escapism
and find my heart within realms of laughter.

Dilapidated reason shuffles feet
in puddles of discontent while I starve
for something, anything, to shiver skin.
It's an ache in the shoulders which shrug tones
of complex neglect that whisks me away,
and all I can do is search for sleep's curve,
a place to rest from insanity's breath,
as sweet as simplicity in birdsong
that crashes into the dawn's mild presence,
but the day's alive with science fiction,
spiralled technology of yesteryear!
