Songs of Life

Do you hear the music of the stars?
Ancient serenade and madrigal mark their place.
Bright cosmic nightingales reverberate,
Filling space.

Do you hear the laughter of the dawn?
Merriment will launch the morning light
And draw a new day's cloak across the sky,
Curtaining the night.

Do you hear the wisdom of the wind?
Wingless, it will in wild abandon soar,
Demanding all beneath to bow and scrape
In homage to its roar.

Do you hear the footsteps of the clouds?
Madly they prance, tossing thunderheads on high,
Impatient to refresh as they release their manna
From the sky.

What songs the saucy siren sings!
Knowing well the power of her voice,
The lusty Lorelei lures life along predestined path.
There is no choice.
