Song of the Raven
A raven's heart of silver
is mine to keep for you.
It dwells alone, in hidden realms
of night and misted vale
where you and I did meet.
A raven's cry of heartbreak
is mine to give to you.
It cries alone, a song to sing
of starlit shores afar
where you and I once danced.
A raven's coat of darkness
is mine to cloak your dreams.
It flows and shimmers in the light
of dawning sunlight's kiss
where you and I once lay.
A raven's flight of yearning
is mine to show to you.
It soars above all earthly cares
and flies to seek the place
where you and I once stood.
A raven's life of searching
is mine to share with you.
It has no end or sorrow,
yet finds no rest, nor land
where you and I can dwell.
A raven's heart of silver
is mine to hold for you.
