Something Foretold

Don't ask me where i've been
Nobody but you knows, has seen
Where my foot stepped and I heard those who wept
nobody but you, i don't think... knew
Where in that land i lay me head, slept.

And when those cobwebs were to engulf me
Wrong hands to reach for me
I hid in the crysalis from which i came
As they tried to pull 'ace' out of their sleeve
 Even 'king' or 'dame'.

I heard that hushed sound, as if saw your smile
Waited for the forlorn shadows to leave, no longer beguile
As my freedom in stillness and innocence called
Sweet prophecy whispered, foretold.
