Someone

Someone told me Love had died and at Loves funeral no one cried.
I hoped that person had of lied, because That day I died inside.

Someone told me Satan had woken, and burn the earth were the first words he had spoken.
That day my heart was broken.

Someone told me the sea levels had risen, and there was no way we could go on living.
I was for the most part glad because who would want to live in a world so sad.

Then Someone came and knocked on my door and suddenly I did'nt feel bad anymore.

I knew right then that Love did not die.
It had just hidden for us to find.

Someone and I gave Satan a hug looked in his eyes and sprayed him with Love.
He dropped down his fork and stopped making a fuss.

Someone and I sailed the sea to the place where the ice caps used to be.
Someone and I made love in the ocean.
It was'nt long before the ice started floating.

Someone and I created a world where no one was selfish, depressed or scared, but none of this would have happened unless someone had got me out of my chair.

The weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few.

Rosco daw

d-ory@hotmail.comIf I try to describe myself I can't cause I don't really know. I think I'm a bunch of different personalities in one body. I' am dark and a little depressed behind closed doors. But towards my friends I' am confident and happy. I struggle for acceptance from people but I do a great job of hiding it.Poetry is my release. Without it I could'nt function. But I think I was always meant to have it. I had never written a poem until I was 22 years old. I did'nt even know I could write a poem until someone special inspired me then shattered my heart. I believe this is why I write mostly dark, depressive poems. Because that's how it all started for me.My tag is weight of the world. Reason being I believe the weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few. And most of us are just standing around consuming and polluting waiting for others to clean up after us. I reflect some of this in my poetry.I live in Hobart, Australia and I' am 24 years old. Thanks for reading. Leave comments, your thoughts and I will return the favour.P.S There are certain words spelt differently in Australia so please keep this in mind when reviewing my poetry. And I 'am on facebook under rosco daw. E-mail at top of page.... more…
