Youth and skill both have their place,
Within this game you play,
But there are things you do not know,
That lay beyond this day.

Beware of those you're dealing with,
Be wise, remember who,
They are but old and treacherous,
They are but ugly too.

I have written a lot of poems that, years latter, I still think are half-way decent. But man, some of them I read and I am embarrassed. I am even ashamed that my mind was even in that place. I believe it is good to be honest, but some thoughts, and poems, if they are even written down in the first place, should be discarded shortly after, and just let life move on to hopefully a better place. more…
