Some Day

Where are you now my love?
Are you near?
Or, are you far?
Do you search the stars above,
and think of me?
Is it my face you try to see?

Do you lie awake at night,
and weep?
Unable to sleep,
and wonder if we might
one day finally meet?
Is it my heart that you seek?

Do your arms ache to hold me?
Like my arms do,
to hold only you?
Is it my embrace you need
to hold you tight,
and keep you safe into the night?

Does my wrinkled face appear
there beside you,
in your faded youth?
My grey head, my eyes, my tears
that fills your sight,
as you slip into that night?

Are we two halves of a whole?
A plan of love,
from up above,
for two lost and lonely souls?
If so, then I pray,
that I find your love..., some day.
