Solemn of Autumn

Trees with no leaves in the midst of autumn.
Forest haunted by leaves' ghostlike phantom.
Invisible birds sing nature anthems.
Echoes of life beckon past days of spring.
Branches longed for the days pollen would bring.
Insects dream of being flowery kings.
Icicles dangle in the icy breeze.
Leaves protect pathways from autumn's cold freeze.
Animals dispense white smoke as they sneeze.
Even in desuetude trees never frown
Discolored leaves ensure that all green drowns.
The earth adorns a brownish yellow crown.
Bareness overlooks the colorful landscape of Autumn.
Nature is beautiful in the midst of lifeless solemn.
