Soldiers Prayer

On bended knee I stop and pray.
I hope the lord can forgive me today.
For the sins I commented are not for me.
I did them so everyone can be free.

I could say I just followed orders.
But that's a lie we tell the reporters.
Give me strength to make it through.
Because sometimes I don't know what to do.

But I will just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
And try to be a good and helpful brother.
So show me what must be done.
And I will move on carrying my gun.
