so lost

so my sweet dawn what have you done
youve gone away and abandon everyone
the man that loved you more than himself
you have placed upon an empty shelf
he gave you more than anyone could give
breathed air to your lungs
that allowed you to live
shared his music and love
in such a divine light
gave you the seat next to him
so you could co write
he was a story teller the best in the land
but you went ahead and let go of his hand
and now he stands alone
strrugling with his plight
wishing that you would be near
for the fight of his life
he had always seen
most things your way
you made his heart beat
stronger each day
now all he do'es is kneel down and pray
that the good lord sends you back to stay
Amen
