Slipped Into The Quick

Falling too deep.
Im in the middle of black quicksand.
Being in this deep was never my plan.
Lost in the swamps of life.
During my trip to run away, I ended up getting stuck.
Deep in the middle of this quicksand.
Ive lost my grip and im sinking fast.
Holding on to a branch.
Im losing the grip of my hand.
Stuck in this place.
This wasnt part of my plan.
So im mad, weary weak and sad.
Taking my anger out on this pad.
Broken hearted and alone.
Out on a limb.
With no boat, and no paddle.
With no horse or no saddle.
Sinking fast, sinking deep.
Stuck in this quicksand, i think.
I think about love and life.
In too deep, alive but growing weak.
In too deep, now all i can do is think and sink.

Michael Fisher Claim this poet

{Contact Information mfisher20019@gmail.com (202) 903-5527}Im Michael, 26 year old Washington DC native new to the poetry community. Initially i was scared to try the poetry thing for public view....people and decisions that have been made, make it somewhat difficult to step out on a limb and express such talent. Typically my writing come from internal thoughts and feelings towards certain situations. My completed pieces of work are typically finished within minutes of the idea of the piece...I hope everyone can find something enjoyable about my work.. I welcome advise in reference to my work, as this is a new venture for me. Thanks to all my readers more…
