Simplicity

Snooze the alarm,
Brew the coffee,
Wash away the nights' marks
Dress your face
Take away your body's freedom
And begin your day
Walk the same steps
Push the same pencils
Drink the same coffee
Continue the same day
Clock tells you to go home
Traffic tells you to leave earlier next time
Stomach tells you prepare dinner
Nature tells you it's the end of day
Give back your body's freedom
Undress your face
Wash away the day's marks
Brew the day's events through your mind
Set the alarm
Never stop to see the world
Never stop to smell the coffee
Never stop to experience your freedom
Never stop to stray from simplicity
Never living life

Jillian Veitenheimer

My writing is a way for things to flow out of me that I didn't even know was within me. By sharing it with all the other poets out there I can rebuild my strength in myself. I can free my soul and let it soar in the stars. Let the wind rip me free of the being that carries my emotions. Poetry is my heart beat. more…
